Matthias Sembach leads the strategic innovation initiatives at Sanitas, a Swiss health insurance. Before this, he built up and lead its digital business. He was responsible for building up and running the digital operations as well as actively contributing to the company's strategy and innovation from the digital perspective. Matthias has a broad and international experience in the service sector ranging from corporate and business development, operations including turn-arounds as well as start-up-management. Matthias was born and raised in Germany. He read business studies and economics at Université de Fribourg (Switzerland), Cambridge University (UK) and Harvard Business School (USA). He holds a PhD in economics from Université de Fribourg on digital services markets. Matthias speaks German, English and French fluently.
