WHO IS Wolfgang Prasser

Wolfgang Prasser has worked in the financial sector for more than 30 years. In 1990, he founded a life insurance company for a large international German insurance group. Under his leadership, the company subsequently became one of the group’s most successful operations outside Germany. Prasser then moved from production to sales and distribution and, for ten years, was CEO for the national subsidiaries of the international financial consulting firm AWD in Austria, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania.In 2009, Prasser joined the Baloise Group’s international business in Basel and, in 2010, became a member of the Executive Committee of Basler Switzerland. Since then, he has headed up Product Management Private Customers. The division includes all private non-life lines and Individual Life. The main areas of focus in recent years have been product planning and control, profitability management and pursuing the joint business model with Baloise Bank SoBa.
